Email Request Interface for Data from SSP

An email data request interface is available.
Request format is almost the same as that of IRIS Breq_Fast (http://www.iris.edu/manuals/breq_fast.htm).
The resultant seismic data is in the SEED format (http://www.iris.edu/manuals/rdseed.htm).


1. Overall Request Sequence

  1. Send request mails(plain text format) to dlevent-ssp@ohpdmc.eri.u-tokyo.ac.jp (Event Data) or breq-fast-ssp@ohpdmc.eri.u-tokyo.ac.jp (Continuous Data).
  2. Automated reply mail will be issued.
  3. After you got a notification mail for the completion of your request, download data by accessing the specified URL.

2.1 Event Data Request Format

  1. Send request mails(plain text format) to dlevent-ssp@ohpdmc.eri.u-tokyo.ac.jp to get an event list.
  2. A reply mail including a resultant event list will be sent to you.
  3. Prepare request mails describing events you want, and send it to dlevent-ssp@ohpdmc.eri.u-tokyo.ac.jp.
  4. A notification mail will be sent when the requested data is ready.
  5. Download data by accessing the specified URL.


2.1.1 Event List Request Mail Format

The format of data request lines in event list request mails is as follows:

NET Year

NET is network name (e.g., NM), and Year is the year of the event list you want (4 digits).

2.1.2 Event Data Request Mail Format

The format of data request lines in event data request mail is as follows:

NET YearMonDayHourMin

NET is the network name (e.g., NM), and YearMonDayHourMin is the year(4 digits), the month (2 digits), the day (2 digits), the hour (2 digits), the min(2 digits) of the events you want (12 digits in total.)

Copy and paste of the event list will work.

2.2 Continuous Data Request Format

  1. Send request mails(plain text format) to breq-fast-ssp@ohpdmc.eri.u-tokyo.ac.jp.
  2. An notification mail will be sent when the requested data is ready.
  3. Download data files by accessing the specified URL.


2.2.1 Countinous Data Request Format

The format of data request lines in continuous data request mails is follows:

Staion: Individual station name or Data Center Name (NM or ALL). The wild card '?' is aveilable, it means ALL.
Network: Network name (PS). The wild card '?' is aveilable, it means PS.
YYYY: 4 digit entries, otherwise rejected!
MM: 2 digits
DD: 2 digits
HH: 2 digits
MM: 2 digits
SS.T: second (2 digits) and tenths of seconds (1 digit)
No: number of Channel Names
Names: Individual channel names. The wild card '?' is available.
